HELION organized the third «BAHIA» Day held at the Palais de la Découverte, Paris, France on June 3rd, 2010.
The BAHIA team displayed HELION innovative didactic fuel cell system and its latest developments.

WHEC2010, from 16 to 19 May , 2010, in Essen (Germany)
The team HELION Hydrogen Power took part in WHEC 2010 exhibition! HELION presented its CO2-free hydrogen-based solutions for clean backup power, with and without logistics, and for decentralized energy storage.
HELION team was pleased to share with visitors its experience of onboard hydrogen and fuel cell-based systems for harsh environments and to make discover the latest developments in the BAHIA fuel cell-based educational system, displayed at the stand.

GEII 2009 conference & exhibition, from 11 to 12 June 2009, in Cachan, France
A team of HELION has participated in this 36th national pedagogical conference bringing together the "Génie Electrique and Informatique Industrielle" departments of the IUT.
A detailed presentation about the educational BAHIA fuel cell test bench as well as system demonstrations took place at HELION'stand n°B06.

UDT, Undersea Defence Technology 2009 conference & exhibition, from 9 to 11 June 2009 in Cannes, France
HELION has displayed, at the Pole Mer Paca stand, its fuel cell system called PAC SM for deep-sea unmanned underwater vehicles and submarine applications. Our PAC SM innovative and integrated solution has been tested and validated in real operating conditions, the final step being the Mediterranean sea experiment late 2009.

National Instruments Seminar, from 14 to 17 April 2009, in Portugal
HELION participated in the Education/Research days organized by National Instruments in Portugal, successively in Lisboa, Porto and Coimbra with people from the Education and Research fields as well as students. HELION made presentations and demonstrations of its BAHIA didactic fuel cell system.

Renewable Energies Exhibition, from 25 to 28 February 2009, in Lyon, France
HELION participated in the Renewable Energies Exhibition at Eurexpo and displayed its didactic fuel cell system, called BAHIA, at the Capénergies cluster's stand. HELION has been a member of this cluster dedicated to greenhouse gas-free energies since 2005.

A HELION team presented the educational BAHIA fuel cell system during this day organised by National Instruments at the Ecole des Mines de St Etienne in Gardanne (Bouches du Rhône).

Colloque M2E, 22nd and 23rd May 2008 in Bourg en Bresse, France
HELION participated in this 3rd conference dealing with "Métiers de l'Energie et Environnement" and bringing together the Génie Thermique and Energie departments of the IUT. Patrick Bouchard, President of HELION, gave a presentation on the state of the art in the hydrogen energy sector and the educational BAHIA fuel cell system. Demonstrations and practical work on the BAHIA system were carried out in parallel to conferences on the HELION stand.

Inauguration of the 'Hydrogène, vecteur d'énergie' hall in the Palais de la Découverte, from 1st to 6th April 2008 in Paris
As a partner in the hydrogen hall in the Palais de la Découverte, apart from making permanently available the electrode membrane assemblies, HELION demonstrated the educational BAHIA fuel cell test bench. Demonstrations and practical work were carried out in the presence of students and industrialists throughout this themed week of sustainable development.

Journée Professionnelle HELION, 27th March 2008 in Aix en Provence, France
Thirty or so individuals from the teaching world participated in this first HELION professional day intended to promote the educational BAHIA fuel cell system. After a presentation of the state of the art in hydrogen fuel cells and the BAHIA system, invitees were able to test the equipment and familiarise themselves with the MMI during demonstration and simulation workshops around the BAHIA system. At the end of the day, participants gave us their first impressions and a users club was inaugurated.

EVER Monaco 2008, from 27th to 30th March 2008 in the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco
A HELION team was present at the Capénergies stand where a compact fuel cell stack was on display. This core is intended for anaerobic applications such as the propulsion of manned submarines and stationary platforms at great depth. Also on display was the educational BAHIA fuel cell system.

HELION participated in NIDays 2008, organised by National Instruments on the 5th February at the CNIT in Paris La Défense. During the event it presented the educational BAHIA fuel cell test bench, developed in collaboration with educators (IUT, Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole des Mines de Paris).

During this day focussed on "Les systèmes énergétiques du futur : la place de l'hydrogène" which took place in the Maison de la Chimie in Paris, HELION presented the educational BAHIA fuel cell test bench developed in collaboration with educators (IUT, Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole des Mines de Paris) and it also participated in the round table discussions.

Lucile VOIRON, HELION Head of Projects, gave a presentation of "HELION stack: status and approaches" in the framework of the CARISMA workshop on "OEM requirements for the ideal fuel cell MEA as compared to the technical state of the art".

International Workshop on Degradation Issues of Fuel Cells, from 19th to 21st September 2007 in Crete, Greece
HELION participated in this workshop organised in Greece, on the island of Crete, by the European Commission, ECN (Holland), the Forschungzentrum Jülich (Germany), ENEA (Italy), ZSW (Germany) and the CEA (France). One oral statement was given on the theme of backup power systems and a poster presented the HELION results on the degradation of electrode performance.

Université Européenne d’Eté, from 2nd to 6th July 2007 in Corte, France
HELION participated in this event held at Corte, in Corsica, organised by the Université de Corse, one of our academic partners. It dealt with New Energy Technologies and Renewable Energy. This European Summer University was held under the aegis of the Ministère de l’Education Nationale, de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche. On the HELION stand we displayed the COREPAC pilot stack, intended for cogeneration applications, and it allowed us to communicate about the stationary electricity market as well as educational projects in higher education.

Hydrogen and Fuel Cells 2007, from 29th April to 2nd May in Vancouver, Canada
Serge BESSE, our Electrochemical Expert, and Jean-Daniel REBER, the HELION Sales Manager, participated in this international conference and exhibition in Vancouver, Canada. Serge BESSE spoke on the theme “Performance degradation of PEMFC hydrogen and oxygen electrodes at low stoechiometry operating mode” and Jean-Daniel REBER spoke on the “Definition of hydrogen hybrid systems components for distributed power generation” during parallel sessions. In addition, a poster on the theme of “development and field testing of fuel cell backup power systems” was displayed during the posters session.

Salon des Energies Renouvelables, from 14th to 17th February 2007 at Eurexpo Lyon, France
During this renewable energies exhibition that took place at Eurexpo in Lyon, France, HELION was present on the Capénergies stand. HELION has been a member of the cluster since 2005 and is in charge of the hydrogen – biomass domain.
One of the HELION representatives gave a presentation on the BAHIA project, "educational test bench for higher education".

Forum NTE 2007, 1st and 2nd February 2007 at Grenoble, France
During the Nouvelles Technologies de l'Energie 2007 forum, which took place at Minatec in Grenoble, HELION representatives spoke during parallel sessions on the theme of hydrogen and fuel cells. Their presentation had the title: "Development and field testing of full scale anaerobic fuel cell backup power systems".
